Over the past 24 hours, Russia launched drone attacks on the Kyiv region, damaging five warehouses
Over the past 24 hours, on September 18, the Kyiv region was under near-constant air raid alerts. Damage was reported in four districts of the region as a result of Russian drone attacks: Obukhiv, Vyshhorod, Boryspil, and Bucha.
On Friday, nine civilian facilities were damaged in four districts of the region: three in Obukhiv, one in Vyshhorod, two in Boryspil, and three in Bucha.
“Warehouse facilities were the hardest hit—five of them were damaged. A production facility, a garage, vehicles, and an apartment building were also damaged,” Tkachenko noted.
The State Emergency Service of Kyiv Oblast reported that, as of the morning of September 19, firefighters were still working to extinguish a fire in a warehouse building on the grounds of an office and logistics complex in the Bucha district.
“Due to numerous air raid alerts and the threat of repeated strikes, rescuers are forced to periodically retreat to a safe distance. Another fire on the roof of a warehouse on the premises has already been extinguished,” the State Emergency Service stated.
