Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have eliminated 1,520 invaders on the front lines

Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defenders have eliminated 1,520 Russian occupiers. As of the morning of October 2, 2026, the total losses of Russian Federation military personnel in the war against Ukraine amount to approximately 1,537,390 soldiers.

According to the General Staff, as of October 2, 2026, Russia has lost the following in the war against Ukraine:

  • personnel—approximately 1,537,390 (+1,520) individuals;
  • tanks – 12,388 (+0) units;
  • armored combat vehicles – 25,471 (+7);
  • artillery systems – 50,592 (+37) units;
  • multiple launch rocket systems – 2,175 (+1) units;
  • air defense systems – 1,683 (+0) units;
  • aircraft – 443 (+0) units;
  • helicopters – 356 (+0);
  • ground-based robotic systems – 2,810 (+7) units;
  • operational-tactical UAVs – 542,853 (+1,470) units;
  • cruise missiles – 5,126 (+0) units;
  • ships/boats – 35 (+0) units;
  • submarines – 2 (+0) units;
  • Vehicles and tankers – 156,309 (+422) units;
  • special equipment – 4,780 (+6) units.

Thus, over the past day, Russia’s losses were highest among personnel—downing 1,520 soldiers—as well as in operational-tactical-level drones—downing 1,470 units.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has updated the data on the losses of the Russian invaders.

In Kyiv, public transportation has been temporarily restricted on certain bridges due to the aftermath of nighttime enemy attacks. 

Over the past day, Russian occupation forces carried out 741 strikes on 51 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. 

In Pavlohrad, on the evening of October 1, Russian troops attacked the administrative building of the DTEK coal company. One employee was injured as a result of the strike.

A fire broke out in Pavlohrad as a result of the Russian attack. The administrative building in the city center caught fire.

A drone strike in the Kyiv region caused a fire in residential buildings; two people were rescued.

As a reminder, debris from a Russian drone caused a fire in a five-story building in Kyiv.

Following the Russian Federation’s nighttime attack on Kyiv, an educational institution was hit.
