Over the past 24 hours, 261 combat engagements were recorded along the front line between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops. This is according to the operational report as of 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6.
Over the past day, Russian troops carried out two missile strikes and 78 airstrikes, fired 30 missiles, dropped 299 guided bombs, deployed 10,672 kamikaze drones, and carried out 3,314 shelling attacks, including 66 from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). At the same time, the Defense Forces’ missile units and artillery struck nine UAV command posts, four areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, and seven enemy command posts.
Seven combat engagements took place over the past 24 hours in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors. Russian troops carried out two airstrikes, dropped four guided bombs, and fired 75 rounds at Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, 19 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the occupiers launched 12 assaults on the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Staritsa, Vovchansk, as well as in the direction of Khatne, Ternova, Zemlyany Yar, and Ivashkine.
In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 11 enemy attacks as the enemy advanced toward Kupiansk, Kindrashivka, Novoosynove, and Shyikivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russian troops attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 14 times, attacking in the direction of Novoselivka, Lyman, Dibrova, Shyikivka, and Ozerny.
In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy carried out 14 assaults in the areas of Zakitne, Kryva Luka, and Riznykivka, as well as toward Piskunivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops carried out two offensive operations near Nikiforivka and in the direction of Yurkivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the occupiers attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 29 times in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopil, Illinivka, Stepanivka, Toretsk, Sofiivka, as well as in the direction of Novopavlivka, Dovha Balka, Vilne, and Novyi Shakhovyi.
On the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 29 enemy assaults in the areas of Dorozhne, Kotlyne, and Udachne, as well as in the direction of Bilytske, Novy Donbas, Shevchenko, Vasylivka, and Serhiivka.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian troops launched one offensive attempt toward Oleksandrohrad.
In the Huliaipole sector, the occupiers carried out 11 attacks toward Dobropillia, Tsvitkove, Hirke, and Staroukrainka, as well as near Danilivka, Charivne, and Novoselivka.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces repelled four enemy attempts to advance toward Malaya Tokmachka and Pavlivka.
In the Dnipro sector, no offensive actions by Russian forces were recorded over the past 24 hours.
In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups were detected.

On the morning of August 6, Russian troops struck Zaporizhzhia. Two people were wounded as a result of the enemy attack. Emergency services are on the scene, and the extent of the damage and the consequences of the shelling are being assessed.
