Over the past 24 hours, the invaders have struck 25 settlements in the Sumy region
Over the past 24 hours, enemy forces carried out heavy shelling of border areas and communities in the rear of the Sumy region, resulting in injuries of varying severity to three civilians.
According to the National Police of Ukraine, residential areas and civilian infrastructure in 25 settlements across the region came under attack.
The most tragic incident was recorded in the Mykolaiv rural community, where a Russian drone struck civilians.
“In the Mykolaiv rural community, a 49-year-old woman and two men aged 26 and 52 were injured as a result of a strike by an enemy drone,” law enforcement agencies reported in their assessment of the attack’s consequences.
In addition to the human casualties, extensive damage was recorded in the Sumy and Konotop city communities, as well as the Khutir-Mykhailivska and Velykopysarivska territorial communities.
The Seredyna-Budsk and Zno-Novgorod communities were also under enemy fire, where the enemy deliberately destroyed the property of local residents and critical infrastructure.
According to investigators, the shelling caused significant damage to apartment buildings and private homes, leaving dozens of families without adequate living conditions.
Hits were also recorded at a gas station, farm buildings, private garages, and citizens’ passenger cars.
As a reminder, the Russians attacked the Kyiv region with drones: damage has been reported.
Russia also attacked Ukraine with 164 drones; air defense forces destroyed 150 UAVs.
