The founder of Fire Point revealed when Ukrainian missiles will be launched en masse at Moscow

Fire Point is finalizing preparations for the first combat tests of the FP-9 long-range missile

If the rocket engine tests scheduled for the coming weeks are successful, the first series of strikes on military and strategic targets in Moscow could take place as early as summer or early fall 2026.

The Ukrainian defense-industrial complex is entering the home stretch in the development of this weapon.

Ukrainian weapons manufacturers have categorically rejected the practice of artificially delaying processes. Mass production lines are being rolled out in parallel with the tests, which will allow for the immediate production of at least 10–20 ballistic missiles.

As of today, the ballistic system has been fully designed and assembled for future launches.

Specialists have already prepared the casings, propulsion systems, and a modern control system. The only element currently holding back the launch of the new weapon is a high-power rocket engine.

The company had ambitious plans to significantly accelerate the release with the help of European partners. Previously, there were plans to sign an agreement with Denmark, which would have involved the production and casting of large-scale engines at a modern Danish factory.

However, the European side has temporarily put this process on hold.

“We had planned to manufacture and cast large engines at the Danish plant. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. It should happen in the coming days. We hope it will happen this week. Without waiting for the Danish plant, we are also building a plant here in Ukraine. It will also handle casting,” explained Shterman.

The first full-scale tests of the finished domestic engine are scheduled for this month. The developer’s engineers are focusing on mass production and speed.

The company is rolling out industrial production lines in advance, without waiting for official bureaucratic approval or the signing of contracts with the Ministry of Defense.

Denis Stilerman emphasized that the specific list of targets deep within Russian territory is determined exclusively by the military. However, the strategic goal of strikes on Moscow has a clear political and diplomatic subtext on the eve of the upcoming heating season.

According to the author, Ukraine has only two realistic scenarios for surviving the coming winter.

The first option is to try to intercept hundreds of Russian missiles and beg Western partners for additional Patriot systems to protect major cities.

The second option is to strike key symbolic targets in Moscow to force the Kremlin into a kind of “parity exchange.”

Tests of the new European air defense system Freya, which is touted as a more affordable alternative to the American Patriot system, may begin in Ukraine in the near future.

Journalists at The Guardian report that a global shortage of interceptor missiles for Patriot systems is creating additional opportunities for Russia to intensify its air strikes on Ukraine. Analysts warn that the shortage of these munitions could persist for several more years and affect not only Ukraine but also the security of U.S. allies.
