Zelenskyy: More than half of the missiles launched by Russia this week were ballistic
The Russian Federation—the aggressor state—has deployed nearly 1,700 drones, more than 1,630 aerial bombs, and 95 missiles of various types against Ukraine over the past week. More than half of these missiles were ballistic, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
According to him, Ukraine is working daily with its partners to ensure that the military has the means to counter Russian strikes. Zelenskyy emphasized the need for the timely delivery of anti-ballistic systems.
“We need to thwart Russia’s reliance on ballistic terror. And that is why it is very important that anti-ballistic systems arrive on time. Every interceptor missile is literally helping to save lives right now, provided it is here, in Ukrainian systems, rather than in our partners’ warehouses,” the president said.

Zelenskyy also reported on the aftermath of the latest Russian attack. In Kharkiv, an attack drone struck residential buildings: one person was killed, and nine others were injured, including two children. In Kryvyi Rih, State Emergency Service units continue to fight a fire at a construction supply store.
In total, the Russians launched eight missiles and 136 drones of various types at Ukraine overnight. The attacks targeted the Kherson, Donetsk, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Sumy, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Chernihiv regions, as well as Kyiv. According to the president, three people were injured as a result of a ballistic missile strike on the capital.
