Zelenskyy unveils plan for rapid end to war
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy outlined a strategy aimed at accelerating the end of Russia’s full-scale invasion, emphasizing that Ukraine has a real chance of a swift diplomatic resolution if international partners act decisively. He shared these points in an interview with Gordon Repinsky.
Zelenskyy stressed that diplomacy is the fastest route, but it works only when pressure is directly applied to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“If the U.S. and Europe are strong, if they stop buying Russian oil and gas, if people uphold the principles they have declared, and if pressure on Russia is strong and clear — then the war will end as quickly as possible,” Zelenskyy said. Otherwise, he warned, Russian aggression could last longer than anticipated.
“Normal people truly want this to end tomorrow — or even yesterday, as we say. In any case, Russia does not have enough power to occupy us,” he added.
Zelenskyy also compared Putin to Adolf Hitler and criticized Russian propaganda. He highlighted that the U.S. request for Ukrainian assistance in the Middle East demonstrates Kyiv’s growing international influence.
The Ukrainian president further noted that the world is currently unprepared for a Third World War due to new technological threats and potential alliances among aggressors.
