Zelenskyy Predicted Putin's Actions in the Event of a Defeat in Ukraine
A Russian defeat in the war against Ukraine will not mean an end to the Kremlin’s aggression, as Vladimir Putin will attempt to start a new conflict and attack other countries. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, if he fails, the Russian dictator will attempt to occupy new territories and drag other countries into the war.
The head of state emphasized that Ukraine seeks an end to the war, but the main obstacle remains the Russian Federation’s position, which demonstrates a willingness to make peace only in words. Zelenskyy also dismissed the Kremlin’s statements about its readiness for a ceasefire as false, since Putin’s primary goal remains victory in the war.
This was discussed in an interview the head of state gave to the French television channel BFMTV.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Russian army could attack a NATO member country within the next five years. This would test the alliance’s resilience.
Before meeting with an American delegation consisting of U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, dictator Putin stated that Russia is allegedly ready to go to war with Europe but has no such intention.
In the event of a Russian attack on NATO members, the Alliance could launch a preemptive strike against targets on Russian territory, according to Admiral Rob Bauer, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy considers it entirely possible that Russia could open a second front against another European country even before the war in Ukraine ends.
