During the latest Russian attack on Ukraine, an unidentified aerial object was detected in Moldovan airspace. It flew over the Transnistria region.

According to the Air Operations Service of the Moldovan National Army, the unidentified target was detected at 3:50 p.m. The object crossed the state border from the Odesa region.

Entry into Moldovan airspace occurred near the settlements of Lyman (Odesa Oblast) and Dnistrovsk (Transnistria).

Exit: At 3:59 p.m., the aerial target left Moldovan territory and re-entered Ukrainian airspace in the Dnistrovsk-Lymanske sector.

The agency emphasized that the unauthorized incursion was a direct consequence of yet another Russian attack on Ukrainian territory.

“The unauthorized overflight of our country’s airspace occurred as a result of today’s airstrikes by the Federation of Russian Cantonal Forces against Ukraine,” the ministry stated.

This was reported by the Moldovan Ministry of Defense.

As a reminder, on the night of August 27, during yet another massive Russian airstrike on Ukraine, five Russian drones violated Moldovan airspace.

On Sunday, August 2, air raid sirens were sounded for the civilian population in eastern Romania for the second time that day. The country’s Ministry of Defense radar surveillance system detected an aerial target near the river border with Ukraine at 3:09 p.m.
