Zelenskyy announced the successful results of tests of Ukrainian ballistic missiles
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine has already achieved success in developing its own ballistic weapons. At the same time, he noted that testing is ongoing, so details about the program are not being disclosed at this time.
According to the head of state, Ukraine’s ballistic program is actively developing, and the initial results can be considered successful.
“We are also working on ballistic missiles. We already have good results. We don’t talk about them much because we are still testing them,” Zelenskyy said.
The president emphasized that developing its own weapons is a matter of self-defense for Ukraine, which is effectively defending not only itself but also its European allies.
At the same time, Zelenskyy noted that during the full-scale war, Ukraine has significantly strengthened its defense-industrial complex and is now mass-producing drones, missiles, artillery, armored vehicles, and 155-mm howitzers.
The president also stated that Russia has already lost the strategic initiative on the battlefield, but the war is not yet over, so there is still much work ahead. According to him, the Russian army has suffered significant losses, losing about 150,000 troops while advancing approximately 50 kilometers.
Zelenskyy made these remarks in an interview with the French television channel BFMTV.
As a reminder, on June 17, Denis Shtilerman, chief engineer and co-owner of the Ukrainian company Fire Point, spoke about the development of the Freyja anti-ballistic shield. According to him, completing the tests and securing the necessary resources are essential to creating a system that will allow Ukraine to independently intercept ballistic missiles.
Ukrainian ballistics could change the course of the war and Ukraine’s status in the world.
Ukraine has developed a low-cost alternative to Patriot missiles and has already conducted tests of the FP-7 missile — FT.
