Zelenskyy called on partners to increase pressure on Russia following the attack on a minibus in Kherson
On August 19, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the Russian attack on a minibus in Kherson, stating that Russia had long since crossed the line of impunity. The head of state called on international partners to increase pressure on the aggressor country.
“Russia’s brutal ‘safari’ against our people in Kherson has long since gone beyond what any normal person could imagine. This morning, the Russians struck an ordinary minibus in Kherson with an FPV drone. Four people were killed, and five more were wounded. All necessary emergency services are on the scene, investigating the details. It is clear that the bus was a civilian vehicle,” Zelenskyy noted.
He emphasized that this is the daily reality of life in Ukraine’s frontline regions. While, according to the head of state, partners are hesitating to provide additional supplies of protective equipment, the Russians have long since crossed the line of what is permissible.

“We need to put pressure on the aggressor. We need to support those defending our lives. I thank everyone who continues to provide aid packages and impose new sanctions against the aggressor,” the President added.
