Zelenskyy called for increased protection of Kherson due to ongoing Russian attacks

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that it is necessary to significantly strengthen the defenses of Kherson, which is under constant Russian shelling.

The head of state made this statement in an evening address.

According to Zelenskyy, he discussed the situation in frontline cities with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and Air Force Commander Anatoliy Kryvonozhko.

The president emphasized that additional interceptors, electronic warfare systems, and more crews are needed to defend Kherson.

Separately, Zelenskyy drew attention to the difficult humanitarian situation in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region, particularly in Oleshky, where the evacuation of civilians remains extremely difficult.

The occupiers attacked Ukrainian Armed Forces positions 38 times and intensified pressure near Pokrovsk.
