Zelenskyy announced strikes on Russian gas facilities in the Orenburg region
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine had carried out strikes on Russian gas industry facilities in the Orenburg region of the Russian Federation.
The head of state made this announcement in an evening video address.
According to Zelenskyy, this is a response to Russian attacks on Ukraine.
“Ukraine has said that we will respond to Russia in kind,” the president noted, adding that the targets are located more than 1,500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
Zelenskyy also emphasized that after several days of relative calm, Russia has resumed strikes with “Shahed” drones and aerial bombs, so Ukraine is responding.

As a reminder, the day before, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the Tuapse oil refinery for the fourth time in the last two weeks. A massive fire broke out on the refinery’s grounds following a series of explosions.
As a reminder, drones attacked Tuapse again, causing fires at the oil refinery and in the port.
In Tuapse, refinery capacity has decreased following the latest attack.
