Defense forces struck enemy command posts and logistics centers in the occupied territories

On the night of May 12, Ukrainian defenders carried out successful strikes against Russian invaders’ targets in the Donetsk, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully attacked command and observation posts, ammunition depots, and areas where Russian troops were concentrated. 

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the Donetsk region, two command and observation posts and a command post in the Selidovo area were struck, as well as a drone control center near Pokrovsk. In the Zaporizhzhia region, defense forces struck a logistics depot in Novopoltavka and an area where Russian troops were concentrated in Okhrimivka. Additionally, in the Luhansk region, a repair unit of the occupying forces was attacked in the village of Rozkvit.

Strikes were also recorded on enemy deployment areas in Donetsk itself. The systematic destruction of Russian logistics and command posts reduces the aggressor’s offensive potential in key sectors of the front. The General Staff continues to verify the final enemy losses in equipment and personnel following the operation.

Since the start of the day on May 12, Russian troops have attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 57 times; the most active combat operations are ongoing in the Kostyantynivka and Pokrovsk directions.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a Russian missile carrier equipped with Kalibr missiles.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine denied reports of an attempt by a sabotage and reconnaissance group to break through to Nikopol.
