New satellite images showing the aftermath of the strike on Tuapse have been released

Satellite images have captured extensive damage at the Tuapse Oil Refinery in Russia following a recent attack. The released images show four large fuel tanks completely destroyed and significant damage to the facility’s surrounding infrastructure.

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports this, noting that this is the third time the facility has been hit this month.

Additionally, photos and video footage show damage to two more smaller tanks located in the lower part of the industrial site. The strikes caused a major fire, and after it was extinguished, the extent of the damage to the equipment became evident. The refinery is one of the enemy’s key energy facilities, so systematic attacks significantly impact its production capacity.

Current developments indicate a deliberate effort to destroy Russia’s oil refining industry to undermine its economic and logistical potential. Analysis of visual data confirms that a significant portion of the fuel infrastructure in Tuapse is currently non-operational due to the damage sustained. Further operation of the plant will require a lengthy restoration of critical components of the petroleum product storage system.
