A town on the Mariupol-Donetsk highway that was important to the occupiers has been destroyed

A town on the Mariupol-Donetsk highway that was important to the occupiers has been destroyed

Overnight, a bridge connecting Donetsk and Mariupol was completely destroyed in the temporarily occupied territory.

Critical damage to the infrastructure facility, located near the village of Kremenivka, has made it impossible for vehicles to travel along this strategic route.

The bridge on the H-20/P-280 highway had previously sustained damage, but the nighttime strike proved decisive for its continued operation.

Photos posted online show that the bridge span has completely collapsed, making further use of the overpass impossible.

At present, traffic from Mariupol toward Donetsk via this bridge is completely closed. The occupying authorities were forced to urgently reroute traffic via a detour through the village of Kremenivka, which significantly slows down traffic.

This route change forces enemy vehicles to travel an additional 15–20 kilometers, which negatively impacts the invaders’ logistical capabilities.

The use of detours creates new difficulties for the operational support of Russian units.

This was reported by Petro Andriushchenko, head of the Center for the Study of the Occupation.
