The Ukrainian Armed Forces have advanced on one of the key fronts
Ukrainian forces have made gains in the Borova sector, while Russian occupiers continue to concentrate their forces to advance into the so-called “belt of fortresses” in eastern Ukraine. Analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported on the current situation on the front lines.
In the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, Russian troops continue to shell border communities with artillery, mortars, KAB bombs, and strike drones. The enemy is also attempting to conduct reconnaissance and infiltrate small sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
In the Kharkiv sector, the occupiers are pressing forward in the areas of Vovchansk and Lypets, deploying infantry groups, FPV drones, artillery, and aircraft.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces have advanced southeast of Borova. Geolocated footage shows Defense Forces units advancing northwest of Novovodyane. Ukrainian counterattacks near Ridkodub have also been reported.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russian forces are attempting to consolidate their positions along the Oskil River and advance toward Kupiansk, but Ukrainian troops are repelling the attacks.
Fierce fighting continues in the Lyman sector. The enemy is attempting to break through the defenses and create conditions for a further offensive toward Sloviansk and Kramatorsk.
In the Siverskyi sector, the occupiers are attacking with small assault groups, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding their positions.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops are concentrating their efforts near Chasovoy Yar and attempting to create conditions for an advance toward the Kramatorsk metropolitan area.
Intense fighting continues in the Toretsk area. The Russians are using aircraft, artillery, and drones in an attempt to dislodge Ukrainian forces.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy is attempting to advance toward the city, employing infantry, armored personnel carriers, rocket artillery, and FPV drones.
The Pokrovsk sector remains one of the hottest. Russian troops continue their attacks toward Pokrovsk and Dobropillia, but Ukrainian defenders are holding back the offensive and inflicting losses on the enemy.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the occupiers are attempting to expand their control along the border between the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, using aircraft, artillery, and drones.
In the Zaporizhzhia sector, localized assaults and shelling of Ukrainian positions continue. The Russians are using guided air-to-ground munitions, artillery, and FPV drones.
In the Kherson region, on the left bank of the Dnipro River, the enemy is primarily carrying out fire strikes against Ukrainian positions and coastal settlements. No large-scale offensive operations have been recorded in this sector at this time.
