A massive blow to business: Leading Ukrainian companies were affected by a nighttime attack by Russia
On the night of August 4, Russia carried out one of the largest attacks on Ukrainian businesses since the start of the full-scale war. As a result of the shelling, warehouses, production facilities, logistics centers, and infrastructure belonging to a number of well-known companies were damaged.
On the night of August 5, the logistics center of the Novus supermarket chain in Kyiv was hit by several direct missile strikes. As a result of the attack, operations at the facility were temporarily suspended; however, according to preliminary reports, there were no casualties.
On the night of August 5, as a result of a massive Russian attack on Kyiv, the “Nova Poshta” sorting center was completely destroyed. Three people were killed in the attack, and significant damage to civilian infrastructure was also reported.
In Brovary, near Kyiv, Russian troops destroyed the Rozetka distribution and warehouse complex on the night of August 5. The facility was struck by three ballistic missiles. No one was injured, but the complex itself cannot be restored.
As a result of massive Russian shelling on August 5, fires broke out at two distribution centers belonging to the Silpo chain. According to preliminary data, six employees were killed; information on the number of injured is being verified.
