Russia attacked DTEK's energy facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk region, leaving 126,000 families without power
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, 126,000 families were left without power as a result of Russian attacks on DTEK’s energy infrastructure. Facilities in the region’s power grid were damaged.
Utility workers are already working to address the damage caused by the shelling and restore power to consumers.
The company noted that repair crews began work as soon as the security situation allowed.
“On August 5, due to numerous enemy shelling attacks by the Russian Federation, 126,000 families in Nikopol, Marganets, Pokrov, and neighboring settlements were left without power,” according to a DTEK statement on Telegram.
It is reported that the damage is significant and repairs will take time.
"We are doing everything possible to restore power to every home as quickly as possible," DTEK assured.

As a reminder, the SBS attacked 13 energy facilities in the occupied territories.
In addition, on the night of August 5, drones attacked the Wildberries logistics complex in Aleksin, Tula Oblast, Russia. The company’s largest warehouse in Russia’s Central Federal District, with an area of approximately 300,000 square meters, was hit.
On the night of August 4, 2026, drones attacked a distribution center belonging to “Lenta,” one of Russia’s largest supermarket chains, in the Leningrad Region. A fire broke out at the facility following the strike, and operations at the receiving warehouse were temporarily suspended.
