Drones attacked the Wildberries logistics complex in Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russian Federation. The city is located more than 1,700 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
According to eyewitnesses, fire trucks and police patrols began arriving at the logistics complex after it was struck. There are also reports of a fire in the first warehouse block.
Even before the attack, Rosaviatsiya had imposed temporary restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures at Koltsovo Airport in Yekaterinburg.
Denis Pasler, governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, declared a drone threat alert in the region.
Wildberries stated that a fire broke out at the logistics facility as a result of a drone attack.
According to the company, employees at the facility were evacuated in advance.
“Firefighters are on the scene at the company’s logistics facility in Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk Oblast; a fire broke out as a result of the attack. A preemptive evacuation was carried out at the facility. The acceptance of current shipments is temporarily restricted; they have been redirected to other facilities,” Wildberries said.

As a result, the attack temporarily disrupted operations at the logistics complex, but the company is rerouting shipments to other facilities.
Information regarding possible casualties and the extent of the damage is currently being verified.

Wildberries has begun preemptively closing its logistics centers in Russia due to the threat of attacks by Ukrainian drones. The first facility to completely cease operations was the marketplace’s warehouse in Zelenodolsk (Republic of Tatarstan), which previously served the Kazan region.
Following a series of strikes on Wildberries’ logistics centers, owners of order pickup points began losing customers and revenue. In some regions, their revenue in July fell by 15–20% year-over-year, and on peak days, the decline reached 30–40%. Market representatives warn that some pickup points may become unprofitable, and by the end of the year, about 15% of them may close.
On the night of August 5, drones attacked the Wildberries logistics complex in Aleksin, Tula Oblast, Russia. The strike hit the company’s largest warehouse in Russia’s Central Federal District, with an area of approximately 300,000 square meters.
