In Derhachi and Bezruky in the Kharkiv region, an air raid siren has been sounding for several hours straight. The cause is not related to an actual, ongoing threat—a technical malfunction occurred in the warning system after the servers were hacked. Specialists are already working to restore normal operation.
Vyacheslav Zadorenko, head of the Derhachi City Military Administration, reported on the situation. According to him, problems arose in the warning system due to a hack of the servers responsible for its operation. As a result, the sirens in Derhachi and Bezruky have been sounding continuously for several hours. “We are informing you of temporary issues with the air raid warning system. Due to a server outage affecting the alert system, the air raid siren has been sounding continuously for several hours in Derhachi and Bezruky,” Zadorenko said.
He noted that specialists are currently working to restore the system to proper operation and resolve the technical malfunction.
Residents are asked to be understanding
The Derhachi City Administration called on local residents to be understanding of the situation. Officials emphasized that the continuous siren is specifically due to a malfunction in the warning system. At the same time, residents of the Kharkiv region should continue to respond to air raid sirens and monitor official announcements from local authorities. Once specialists resolve the issue, the warning system in Derhachi and Bezruky should return to normal operation. This was announced by Vyacheslav Zadorenko, head of the Derhachi City Military Administration.
As a reminder, fires broke out at industrial facilities in the Kyiv region due to an attack by the Russian Federation.
Russia also launched a massive attack on Kyiv, killing and injuring civilians.
Later, rescue workers showed the aftermath of the strikes on Kyiv.
