“Near the village of Odnorobivka in the Zolochiv community, a local resident was blown up by an unknown explosive device while riding a moped. Unfortunately, the 55-year-old man died,” Synyegubov wrote. No further details of the tragedy have been reported at this time. The Kharkiv region remains dangerous due to explosive ordnance
Due to ongoing hostilities in the Kharkiv region, there remains a high risk of encountering landmines and other explosive devices. Areas where fighting previously took place, as well as fields, forest strips, roadsides, and areas near settlements that were under shelling or occupation, can be particularly dangerous. An explosive device is not always immediately visible. It may be concealed by grass, soil, or debris.
If you spot a suspicious object, do not approach it, touch it, move it, or attempt to defuse it yourself. Move to a safe distance and notify emergency responders or the police. The tragedy near Odnorobivka once again demonstrates that the danger posed by abandoned explosive devices in the Kharkiv region persists even far from the immediate front line. This was reported by Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
