The Pokrovsk sector remains the hottest spot on the front line — General Staff

Over the past 24 hours, 170 combat engagements took place on the front lines. Russian troops launched the most attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian forces repelled 23 assaults. According to preliminary data, 31 invaders were killed and eight more were wounded in this sector of the front.

 

Russian troops continue to attack Ukrainian positions on several fronts. The occupiers launched one missile strike using a single missile. The Russian army also carried out 54 airstrikes, dropping 179 guided bombs. In addition, the enemy deployed 6,779 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,116 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.

Where the Fighting Was Heaviest

The Russians carried out the most attacks in the Pokrovsk direction. There, the enemy attempted to advance 23 times. The occupiers attacked in the areas of Shakove and Udachne, and also attempted to advance toward Toretsk, Kucherove Yar, Bilytske, Novy Donbas, Shevchenko, Matyashove, and Novopidhorodne. As of this evening, four combat engagements in this sector were still ongoing.

According to preliminary estimates by the General Staff, 31 Russian soldiers were killed and another eight were wounded in the Pokrovsk sector over the past 24 hours. Ukrainian forces also destroyed one artillery system, an ammunition depot, 18 shelters with personnel inside, a fuel and lubricants depot, two vehicles, and two pieces of specialized equipment.

Another artillery system, two multiple-launch rocket systems, two vehicles, and 170 Russian shelters were damaged. In addition, Ukrainian forces destroyed or neutralized 364 drones of various types.

Situation on Other Fronts

One combat engagement took place on the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk fronts. Russian forces carried out 40 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.

In the Southern Slobozhansky sector, the enemy launched 14 assaults on Ukrainian positions. Fighting took place in the areas of Starytsia, Lyman, Vovchanski Khutory, Dvorichanske, and Zapadne. The Russians also attempted to advance toward Hoptivka, Vilcha, Volokhivka, Shevyakivka, and Khatne.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian forces launched two attacks toward Kivsharivka and Bohuslavka. One engagement was still ongoing as of the evening.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled six enemy attempts to advance. The attacks took place near Yampil and in the direction of Novoselivka and Dibrova. One engagement was still ongoing.

In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian forces halted 15 Russian attempts to advance. The enemy attacked in the areas of Zakitne, Kryva Luka, Riznykivka, and toward Mykolaivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces carried out four attacks. Fighting took place near Pryvillia and Nykyforivka, as well as in the direction of Malynivka and Tykhonivka.

Ukrainian forces repelled another 15 Russian assaults in the Kostiantynivka sector. The enemy attacked in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Rusyno Yar, and toward Dovha Balka and Stepanivka.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the Russians attempted to attack toward Yegorivka twice.

In the Huliaipole sector, the Defense Forces repelled six attacks. The Russians attempted to advance toward Rivne, Huliaipole, and Charivne. One engagement is ongoing.

On the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces stopped one enemy attempt to advance toward Pavlivka.

In the Dnipro sector, Russian troops did not conduct any offensive operations.

According to the General Staff, there were no significant changes in the situation on other fronts. Overall, Russian forces continued to apply pressure on several sections of the front over the past 24 hours. The highest number of attacks occurred in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian forces repelled 23 assaults. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

In Kyiv, Russian shelling damaged the logistics center of the “Ranok” publishing house.

Russia cynically referred to the massive attack on Ukraine as a “retaliatory strike.”
