Russia attacked Ukraine with 147 drones; air defense forces destroyed more than a hundred targets
On the night of August 7, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine, deploying 147 drones of various types. Air defense forces neutralized 114 aerial targets, a significant portion of which were shot down.
Specifically, launches of Shahed-type UAVs (including jet-powered ones), Gerber, Italmas, and “Parody”-type decoy drones were recorded from the following directions: Orel, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation, the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) of Donetsk, and Gvardeyskoye—the TOT of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
As of 08:30, air defense forces had shot down or neutralized 114 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerber, Italmas, and other types in the north, south, and east of the country.
Hits by 29 attack UAVs were recorded at 15 locations, and debris was found at 4 locations.
The enemy’s attack is currently ongoing, with enemy UAVs still in the airspace.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have eliminated more than 1,200 invaders and three air defense systems on the front lines.
In Kyiv, Russian shelling damaged the logistics center of the “Ranok” publishing house.
Russia cynically referred to the massive attack on Ukraine as a “retaliatory strike.”
