Ukrainian marines captured Russians who were supposed to take a propaganda photo in the Donetsk region
Soldiers from the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilinsky captured two Russian soldiers in the Donetsk region. The Russians were ordered to take a photo with the tricolor flag near the monument in Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka.
According to the Ukrainian military, the occupiers were instructed to raise the flag and take a propaganda photo to demonstrate their alleged control over the town.
However, while carrying out the task, they were captured by Ukrainian marines. The prisoners are currently in the custody of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
“Ukrainian soil is no place for Russian fairy tales! We are dismantling yet another enemy information and psychological operations unit,” the post reads.
As the military noted, “Russian commanders sent these two soldiers to infiltrate Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka (Konstantinovka sector). The goal was a classic disinformation operation: to wave a hand in front of a monument to announce yet another ‘capture’ of a settlement.”
"However, within just a few hours, these 'screen stars' were captured by reconnaissance troops from the 36th Separate Marine Brigade," the military reported.
“We continue to hold our defenses and ruin all the Russians’ victory movie scenarios. Glory to the Ukrainian Marines!” the brigade stated.

Marines destroyed a boat carrying Russian troops in the Kherson region using a drone.
Earlier, in the Dnipro region, the enemy made six unsuccessful attempts to seize footholds on Bilohrudyi Island and near the Antonivsky Road Bridge, trying to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their positions.
The Russians are simulating “captures” of territory in front of drones to create the illusion of success, but they do not have actual control over the islands. Ukrainian defense forces control the island zone and thwart any enemy attempts to establish logistics for assault groups.
