Ukrainian forces capture Buryat soldier who executed POW after interrogation
Ivan Khamgushkeev, callsign “Buryat,” a marine of the 810th Brigade of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, interrogated a Ukrainian border guard who had been captured during the war and then shot him with an assault rifle.
Khamgushkeev has now been captured by Ukrainian forces.
Social media users have recalled the biblical principle: “Treat others as you would like to be treated.”

Russian media outlets have published a photo of the Ukrainian soldier, showing his severed head. Preliminary reports indicate that the soldier’s identity has been established, and the relevant information has already been passed to law enforcement authorities.
Earlier, the National Police of Ukraine, under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office, identified five Russian soldiers involved in the execution of civilians during the occupation of Bucha in 2022.
