The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed the Geran repeaters and five command posts

On the night of August 14, Ukrainian forces struck two ground-based relay stations that were supporting the operation of “Geran” attack drones and destroyed five Russian military drone control centers.

Throughout August 13 and on the night of August 14, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck two ground-based relay stations used to control “Geran”/“Gerbera” attack drones in the Zalizny Port area of the Kherson region.

“A ground-based relay station facilitates the transmission of control and communication signals between the operator and the drone, extending its range and ensuring stable operation,” the statement said.

In addition, Ukrainian defenders carried out successful strikes on five enemy drone command posts in the following areas:

  • Chasiv Yar (Donetsk Oblast);
  • Zalizny Port (Kherson Oblast);
  • Lugove (Zaporizhzhia Oblast);
  • Volfinsky (Kursk Oblast, Russian Federation);
  • Gordievka (Kursk Oblast, Russian Federation).

“Operations against key enemy military targets are ongoing. Ukrainian defense forces are steadily reducing the Russian aggressor’s ability to deploy unmanned systems and conduct combat operations,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.

As a reminder, the Orsk Oil Refinery in the Orenburg Region of the Russian Federation has completely halted operations following an attack by Ukrainian drones.

In Russia, freight transportation costs are rising due to the strikes on the refinery, according to Reuters.

As a reminder, the Russian oil refinery “Orsknefteorgsintez” halted oil processing following an attack by Ukrainian drones on August 11.
