Sikorsky Disagreed with Trump Regarding Ukraine's Strikes on Russian Oil Refineries

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski did not endorse U.S. President Donald Trump’s claims that Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries are allegedly causing a diesel fuel shortage.

The Polish minister made this statement during a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga in Kyiv.

The day before, Trump had called on President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to stop strikes on Russian facilities involved in diesel production. The U.S. president stated that such attacks could lead to fuel shortages.

Sikorski, responding to a question about this statement, made it clear that he had a different assessment of the situation.

“I have a different opinion,” said the Polish foreign minister.

U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that Ukraine is allegedly causing a diesel fuel shortage in Russia by attacking its oil refineries.

Recall that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated: Russia, as an aggressor state, will face a response if it strikes the Ukrainian energy system this winter.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on the results of Ukrainian long-range strikes aimed at weakening Russia’s capacity to wage war against Ukraine. In particular, Ukrainian strikes hit targets in Dagestan and Udmurtia.
