The Ukrainian Armed Forces killed another 1,690 Russian soldiers in the past 24 hours

Over the past day, the Russian army lost approximately 1,690 soldiers. Total personnel losses for the Russian Federation since the start of the full-scale war have reached approximately 1,528,970. During the same period, Russian forces lost dozens of pieces of military equipment, including 57 artillery systems, seven armored vehicles, and eight tanks.

 

The Russian army continues to suffer losses in the war against Ukraine. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian forces eliminated approximately 1,690 Russian soldiers over the past day. Thus, the total number of Russian military personnel losses since February 24, 2022, stands at approximately 1,528,970.

 

In addition to personnel, Russia lost a significant amount of military equipment over the past day. According to the General Staff, the following were destroyed or rendered inoperable:

• 8 tanks;
• 7 armored combat vehicles;
• 57 artillery systems;
• 3 multiple-launch rocket systems;
• 4 air defense systems;
• 14 ground-based robotic systems;
• 1,826 tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles;
• 517 vehicles and tanker trucks;
• 7 units of specialized equipment.

At the same time, over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian military did not record any new Russian losses among cruise missiles, ships and boats, submarines, and helicopters. As of September 27, the total losses of the Russian army, according to the General Staff, amount to:

• 12,384 tanks;
• 25,442 armored combat vehicles;
• 50,428 artillery systems;
• 2,163 multiple-launch rocket systems;
• 1,677 air defense systems;
• 444 aircraft;
• 356 helicopters;
• 535,846 operational-tactical-level UAVs;
• 2,762 ground-based robotic systems;
• 154,245 vehicles and tanker trucks;
• 4,756 units of specialized equipment;
• 5,118 cruise missiles.

Russian forces also lost 35 ships and boats, as well as two submarines. The General Staff emphasizes that these figures are preliminary and subject to change.

It is worth noting separately that, according to the statistics released as of September 27, the number of aircraft lost by Russia stands at 444, meaning one was added over the past day. An earlier version of the report cited the figure 443, but the General Staff’s most recent morning update indicates 444. This is stated in a post by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

On the night of September 27, Russia attacked Ukraine with 170 strike drones, including 76 jet-powered ones. As of 7:30 a.m., air defense forces had shot down or neutralized 147 enemy drones. At the same time, strikes were recorded at 18 locations, and debris from downed targets fell at eight additional sites.
