Ukrainian forces struck six launch sites for Russian drones in the temporarily occupied town of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.
The operation was carried out by units of the 7th Airborne Assault Corps and the 4th Special Operations Regiment “Rangers.” As a result, the positions from which the occupiers launched vertical takeoff and landing drones were destroyed.
According to military sources, the Russians had set up UAV launch sites near civilian facilities, including a café, a children’s goods store, a library, and in a residential area.
It was from these locations that the enemy carried out combat drone sorties and attacked the positions of the Defense Forces and the logistics routes of Ukrainian troops.
The targets were identified during an analysis of enemy actions, after which precision strikes were carried out against them using fixed-wing drones.
On the night of June 10, drones attacked the Novokuybyshevsk Oil Refinery in the Samara region of Russia. Following the strikes, a massive fire broke out at the facility, which, according to local residents, was visible from various parts of the city.
A fuel shortage is expected throughout Russia by August.
