35,000 daffodils will bloom in downtown Melbourne
On August 19 and 20, Melbourne will host Daffodil Day at Rialto Piazza. The area near 525 Collins St will be decorated with 35,000 yellow daffodils, and visitors will be able to purchase bouquets to support the Cancer Council.
Over the course of two days, Rialto Piazza will be transformed into a large floral display. The organizers will set up a large-scale arrangement featuring 35,000 daffodils. The installation will be on display at 525 Collins St. The venue will be open to visitors on August 19 and 20 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Daffodils were not chosen by chance. In Australia, these flowers are associated with the Cancer Council’s charity campaign, which raises funds to fight cancer. Visitors will not only be able to admire the unique floral display but also purchase a bouquet. Proceeds from the sales will help support the Cancer Council’s work.
LEGO Will Be Added to the Flowers
The Brickman—a renowned Australian LEGO master—will also be working at the venue throughout the week. He will be creating a large LEGO installation dedicated to daffodils. Visitors will be able to watch as this large-scale structure gradually takes shape right before their eyes. The organizers will combine fresh flowers and LEGO to create a vibrant display in the heart of Melbourne.
