56% of Jewish voters in the US say Netanyahu’s actions have intensified antisemitism — Jerusalem Post
56% of Jewish voters in the United States believe that the actions of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have intensified antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiment in the country. This is indicated by a Mellman Group poll conducted for the Jewish Electorate Institute, the Jerusalem Post reports.
At the same time, 86% of surveyed American Jews described themselves as supporters of Israel. An unfavorable view of Netanyahu was expressed by 61% of respondents. Among Jewish Democrats, 65% share the view that his actions have increased the level of antisemitism in the United States, compared with 46% among independent voters and 34% among Republicans.
Attitudes toward the Israeli government
According to the poll, 60% of participants would like Netanyahu to be replaced as Israel’s head of government, while 16% would support his re-election. The publication notes that most respondents are not closely following the elections in Israel scheduled for October.

Additionally, 52% of respondents supported reducing or completely ending $3.3 billion in US military aid to Israel. The reduction was supported by 63% of Jewish Democrats, while 67% of Republicans and 65% of independent voters opposed it and wanted to keep funding at its current level.
Assessment of the parties and AIPAC
In the general question regarding congressional elections, Democrats led Republicans among Jewish voters by 71% to 23%. At the same time, 60% of respondents believe that antisemitism is growing in the Republican Party, while 57% believe it is intensifying in the Democratic Party.
AIPAC was rated positively by 42% of poll participants and negatively by 35%. The online survey of 800 registered Jewish voters was conducted from August 25 to September 3, 2026; the margin of error was plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
