80% of Live Science readers are concerned about an arms race in space — Live Science
In the United States, more than 280 readers of Live Science took part in a poll on the risk of an arms race in space. Eighty percent of respondents chose the answer that they were concerned about the possible transformation of space into a new area for deploying weapons.

US Air Force Secretary Troy Meink said on September 14 at the Air, Space and Cyber Conference in Maryland that the United States had deployed orbital space-control capabilities. According to him, these weapons can protect the Joint Force from hostile actions by an adversary.
