Catania Airport in Italy resumed operations on September 29 after a three-day closure caused by volcanic ash emissions from Mount Etna. As ANSA English reports, air traffic at the airport was halted because of the ash emitted by the volcano.

New restrictions in the morning

The airport's resumption of operations was not without additional disruptions. On Tuesday morning, flights were briefly suspended due to a new cloud of volcanic ash.
