Eight military personnel, including those who organized the strikes on Ukraine, were killed in the Tu-95 crash in Russia

Eight Russian officers were killed in the crash of a Tu-95 strategic bomber in Russia’s Amur Region, although the Russian Ministry of Defense had previously reported six fatalities. According to the Ukrainian project “Book of Executioners,” three of the victims were involved in organizing missile strikes against Ukraine.

The list of Tu-95 crew members was published on the “Rural News” page for the village of Serishevo, where “Ukrainka,” one of the key bases of the Russian long-range aviation, is located. OSINT analyst Duke Garland drew attention to the post.

Subsequently, “Mediazona” verified this information and confirmed that all of the officers listed did indeed serve in Russia’s strategic aviation.

Among the dead were Major Andriy Lobanov, Major Andriy Gerasimov, and Lieutenant Colonel Fedir Pavlyukov. The Ukrainian project “Book of Executioners” identified them as participants in and organizers of missile strikes against Ukraine.

Six of the deceased were members of the Tu-95’s main crew. Two other military personnel were likely on board as inspectors or passengers.

The plane crashed in late September during a training flight in the Amur Region. The Tu-95 is a strategic bomber capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

Previously, the Russian Ministry of Defense had repeatedly reported incidents involving aircraft of this type, including plane crashes and onboard fires.

Following Ukraine’s “Pavutina” operation, the Russian Ministry of Defense transferred a significant number of strategic bombers from the European part of the country to the “Ukrainka” airfield. Previously, Russian intelligence agencies also claimed to have prevented drone attacks on this facility.
