Airbus delivers first A320neo from second Tianjin line to China Eastern
On September 16, Airbus delivered an A320neo aircraft to China Eastern Airlines in China — the first aircraft assembled on the second final assembly line for the A320 family in the port city of Tianjin. This was reported by ECNS.

The aircraft was delivered to China Eastern Airlines for operation on September 16, 2026. The second line in Tianjin is part of the global production network for Airbus A320 family aircraft.
In total, this network has 10 final assembly lines: four are located in Hamburg, Germany, two in Toulouse, France, two in Mobile, United States, and another two in Tianjin, China.

Production and demand
The Airbus A320 final assembly line in Tianjin has been operating since 2008. During this time, more than 800 A320 aircraft have been assembled and delivered there.
In its latest global market forecast, Airbus expects China to need 8,830 new passenger aircraft over the next 20 years. According to the company’s estimate, this will account for more than 20% of global demand for such aircraft.
