In Italy, activist, journalist and former member of the Five Star Movement Alessandro Di Battista said that he is feeling much better and has returned home after being discharged from Rome's Gemelli hospital. This was reported by ANSA English. Last month, he became seriously ill while in Cuba.
Hospitalization in Cuba
The 48-year-old Di Battista was hospitalized in Havana after suffering severe headaches. He was working on a report on the Caribbean island. After an initial improvement, his return to Italy had to be postponed due to a deterioration in his condition that required surgery.

Treatment in Rome
Last weekend, Di Battista was flown to Italy and then hospitalized at Rome's Gemelli hospital. In an Instagram post, he thanked the doctors and staff of the medical facility, as well as everyone who supported him every day.
Di Battista said that in the coming weeks he will talk about the path he still has to go through. Although he left the Five Star Movement several years ago, Di Battista continues to appear regularly on Italian television talk shows.
