"American Horror Story" will feature a major crossover in Season 13

Ryan Murphy has revealed new details about the 13th season of the series *American Horror Story*. According to him, the upcoming season will be the biggest crossover in the anthology’s history and will bring together characters from different seasons.

The creators plan to bring back familiar characters and interweave several storylines that previously existed separately.

The horror series debuted on FX in 2011. Each season tells a separate story with new characters and a new setting, though many actors regularly return to the show in different roles. From time to time, series creator Ryan Murphy also brings back characters from previous seasons.

It was previously reported that the witches from “Coven” would return in Season 13, but during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Murphy stated that the new season would not be dedicated solely to that storyline.

According to him, the new story will bring together characters from all seasons of the series.

“Everyone thinks this is a ‘Coven’ season, but it’s not. It’s all the seasons,” Murphy said.

He confirmed that Sarah Paulson will play six or seven of her former characters, Jessica Lange will reprise all four of her iconic roles, and Evan Peters will once again portray five of his characters. Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, and Billie Lourd will also appear in the season.

According to Murphy, the plot will resemble superhero movies.

“It’s like ‘The Avengers.’ They’ll all team up to defeat absolute evil. It’s going to be a lot of fun,” he said.

The show’s creator explained that many actors had previously refused to return to *American Horror Story*, but after he presented the concept for the new season, they agreed.

“As soon as I told them this idea—even though many had been saying ‘no’ for years—they said, ‘Okay, we’ll come back for this.’” “When I pitched it to Jessica Lange, she said, ‘Oh, now I have to say yes,’” Murphy recalled.

He also revealed that the season will consist of 13 episodes.

“It will have 13 episodes because it’s called ‘13.’ I spent many months and many years writing the script. I wanted to make this season special,” the showrunner said.

The 13th season of “American Horror Story” will premiere on September 24 on FX and the streaming service Hulu.
