American "Cheerful Milkman" Justus Walker may be deported from Russia
American farmer Justus Walker, known in Russia as the “Cheerful Milkman,” stated on August 7 that Russian authorities plan to revoke his residence permit and deport his family from the country.
According to Walker, he received a phone call informing him of the possible revocation of his residence permit. He noted that the situation came as a surprise to his family.
“This is just a shock to us. On Monday, we’ll go find out exactly what happened and see the official decision. For now, we’re trying to figure out what our options might be. Apparently, there’s a possibility to appeal,” the farmer said.
At the same time, he stated that if the decision to revoke the residence permit is confirmed, the family will have only a few days to leave Russia.
Walker also noted that his family had invested nearly all their savings in their farm in the Altai Krai. According to him, they will need about 900,000 rubles to leave Russia, while he currently has only about 400,000.
Justas Walker moved to Russia in the 2000s and became well-known for his videos about farm life and dairy production. For a long time, the Russian media held him up as an example of a successful foreigner supporting rural life.
As a reminder, in one of the most prestigious areas of the Moscow region—Rublyovka—long lines have formed at gas stations due to a fuel shortage. Videos of traffic jams near gas stations are being shared by local residents.
