Trump’s letter to Congress on nuclear agreement with Saudi Arabia released
US President Donald Trump submitted to Congress an agreement between the United States and Saudi Arabia on cooperation in the field of peaceful nuclear energy. The president’s letter accompanying the submission of the document to Congress last month was released on Tuesday, the Jerusalem Post reports.

In the letter, Trump stated that, in his opinion, the agreement meets all applicable legal requirements. According to him, the document will also advance US interests in nuclear nonproliferation and other foreign policy interests of the country.

“In my opinion, [the agreement] meets all applicable legal requirements and will advance the interests of the United States of America in nonproliferation and other foreign policy interests,” Trump wrote.
Transfer of materials for peaceful purposes
According to the president, the agreement will allow the transfer of materials, equipment, including reactors, components and information for peaceful nuclear purposes. At the time of publication, the contents of the agreement itself remained undisclosed.
