APM nominates Yakubu Adamu as candidate for Bauchi State governor — Premium Times Nigeria
In Nigeria, the Allied Peoples Movement party has presented former Bauchi State Commissioner for Finance Yakubu Adamu as its candidate in the 2027 gubernatorial election. Adamu said that, if elected, he would continue the course of incumbent Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, whose second term is due to end in May 2027.
As Premium Times Nigeria reports, Adamu’s programme lists infrastructure, healthcare, education, support for youth and women, agriculture, and food security among its priorities. The candidate presents himself as a supporter of preserving and developing the projects of the current administration.
Projects of Mohammed’s administration
Bala Mohammed took office on 29 May 2019. The publication writes that his administration completed some inherited unfinished projects and launched new initiatives in road infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, housing construction, and social services.
