Air Strikes Hit Base and Airport in Seiyun in Eastern Yemen
Air strikes have targeted a military base and the airport in the city of Seiyun in eastern Yemen’s Hadramout province. The city is a key regional center and had previously come under the control of separatist-aligned forces.
Amid the escalation, Hadramout governor Salem al-Khanbashi said his forces are advancing toward Seiyun after taking control of the largest military base in the province. He called on Southern Transitional Council units to withdraw in order to prevent further bloodshed.
Tensions in the area remain high, and developments around Seiyun may shape the balance of power in the eastern regions of the country.
