Biden launched a scathing attack on Trump — NYT
Former U.S. President Joe Biden has publicly and sharply criticized the current White House occupant, Donald Trump, calling him the most corrupt head of state in American history.
During his emotional speech, the 46th U.S. president also condemned his successor’s questionable and costly initiatives aimed at satisfying personal ambitions.
Speaking in the banquet hall of the Best Western hotel in Sioux Falls, the 83-year-old Biden did not hold back at all in his harsh criticism of the current administration.
He openly declared that the U.S. president is “the most corrupt president in the history of the United States of America,” which elicited an immediate and enthusiastic reaction from the audience.
In addition, the speaker focused in detail on criticizing the so-called “vanity projects” that are currently being pursued in Washington.
Among the most egregious examples of wastefulness, Biden cited the Trump team’s plans to demolish the East Wing of the White House to build a new ballroom.
“My God, tear down the East Wing of the White House to build a ballroom worthy of Versailles? Or to put his name on the Kennedy Center, or to build an arch that would overshadow the Lincoln Memorial, or to turn the Reflecting Pool into something out of a theme park!” he declared emotionally during his speech.
The former Republican leader drew particular attention to the current head of state’s financial shenanigans and accused him of creating a “shadow fund” worth $1.8 billion.
According to Biden, these hidden funds were directly linked to radical participants in the Capitol riot. He also accused the U.S. president of generating dubious profits through manipulation of the cryptocurrency market.
The New York Times reports on this.
Biden will live with cancer for the rest of his life
Donald Trump stated that the large-scale financial aid to Ukraine during Joe Biden’s tenure allegedly became one of the reasons why the war is still ongoing. He also sharply criticized NATO allies, particularly European countries, and once again questioned the effectiveness of their support for the U.S. in international conflicts.
The son of former U.S. President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, has left the U.S. due to $17 million in debt, the Daily Mail reports, citing documents from his lawyer. According to the documents, Biden resides abroad, is considered “insolvent,” and is unable to pay his legal bills, some of which exceed $50,000.
