Parents of seven-year-old girl in Pakistan seek transfer of case to special court — Dawn
In Pakistan, the parents of a seven-year-old girl appealed to the chief minister of Balochistan and other officials to transfer the case involving the alleged rape and murder of their daughter in Noshki to the Special Court on Violence Against Women and Children in Quetta. Dawn reports.
The father’s statement
According to the child’s father, Allah Dad, last month his family came from Dalbandin to Noshki for a memorial ceremony for a relative. He claims that a relative named Asmatullah handed his daughter over to the suspects for 3,000 Pakistani rupees.
Allah Dad stated that several hours later, the girl was raped and killed, and her body was left in bushes. These circumstances are claims made by the father during a press conference in Quetta.

Detentions and investigation
The child’s father said that police had detained three suspects in connection with the incident. According to him, an autopsy has already been conducted and DNA test reports are available, but no proper investigation has been carried out.
He also claims that no remand order was obtained for the suspects. According to Allah Dad, court proceedings in Noshki were disrupted due to the situation in the area, and a month after the incident, the suspects had not been properly questioned.
