Bessent said a deal between the U.S. and Iran is imminent

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that the United States could reach an agreement with Iran within the next one or two days.

According to him, the parties are discussing the possibility of concluding a 30- or 60-day ceasefire agreement.

Bassent also stated that Iran is under intense economic pressure.

“We have them by the throat. They have 150–180% food inflation; they cannot sustain their military,” the minister said.
