Bessent said Ukraine's strikes on Russian oil refineries are affecting global oil prices
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries are putting additional pressure on the global energy market.
Appearing on Fox News, he linked the attacks on Russia’s energy infrastructure to the current situation in the global market.
“We are currently experiencing an energy shock. Ukraine has decided that it wants to destroy Russian energy facilities. This is putting pressure on prices globally,” Bessent said.
Thus, the U.S. Treasury Secretary considers Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries to be one of the factors influencing global energy prices.
