Pakistan’s finance minister promises policy stability to foreign businesses — Dawn
Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, in Islamabad, promised Dutch and other interested foreign companies consistent government policy and a stable environment instead of cycles of sharp growth and decline.
Meeting with business representatives
The minister made the statement during a roundtable and networking reception at the residence of the Dutch ambassador. The event brought together executives of Dutch companies, representatives of Pakistani business, the government and the diplomatic corps to discuss economic dialogue and long-term commercial ties, Dawn reports.
Aurangzeb said that Pakistan is in a favorable position for trade and investment. According to him, amid external recognition and growing confidence following assessments by international rating agencies, the government is committed to promoting development and providing possible support.

Presence of Dutch companies
The event also highlighted the significant presence of Dutch business in Pakistan. More than 50 companies from the Netherlands operate in the country in the agriculture, food and beverage production, and industrial storage sectors.
The Netherlands is Pakistan’s second-largest trading partner among European Union countries. The article notes that the activities of Dutch companies contribute to employment and food security in Pakistan.
