The White House has released the schedule for the second day of King Charles III and Camilla’s visit to the United States

King Charles III of the United Kingdom and Queen Camilla arrived in the United States on April 27 for a state visit. The White House has released a detailed schedule for the second day of the monarchs’ visit.

On the first day, the British couple was greeted by U.S. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump. Following the official reception, the parties held a tea ceremony in the White House Green Room and toured the recently renovated section of the residence located on the South Lawn.

The second day will begin with an official military ceremony with honors. The White House noted that the tradition of such ceremonies dates back to the 18th century.

During the ceremony, the national anthems of the United States and the United Kingdom will be performed, accompanied by the Marine Corps Band. A 21-gun artillery salute is also planned.

After reviewing the honor guard and military units, the U.S. president will deliver a speech on the South Lawn of the White House.

This will be followed by a joint appearance on the Blue Room balcony, where the monarchs and the Trumps will participate in a review of U.S. military units, featuring representatives from all branches of the armed forces.

Following the official proceedings, the schedule includes signing the White House Guest Book, an exchange of gifts between the parties, a meeting of the U.S. and British delegations, and bilateral talks between the U.S. President and King Charles III in the Oval Office

Separately, Queen Camilla and the First Lady of the United States will participate in a joint educational event with American students dedicated to cultural exchange and technology, specifically the use of VR and AI tools to study the history and cultures of both countries.

The day will conclude with a formal state dinner in the East Room of the White House, hosted in honor of the British monarchs.

The visit is scheduled to conclude on April 30, when an official farewell ceremony will take place at the White House.
