The YouTube channel for the Russian project Alabuga is still active

The "Alabuga-Polytech" channel continues to operate on YouTube; according to reports, it recruits Russian and foreign youth to participate in the production of Shahed-type drones, which Russia is using to carry out strikes against Ukraine.

This entity is part of the Russian special economic zone “Alabuga” in Tatarstan, according to the SPRAVDI Center for Strategic Communications.

Officially, “Alabuga-Polytech” is presented as a “prestigious educational center,” although in practice this entity is involved in drone production.

Previously, Russian media and international journalistic investigations have already reported that young people, including minors and citizens of other countries, are being recruited through “Alabuga” to work in the production of combat drones.

In one of the promotional videos aimed at an Armenian audience, users are invited to enroll at “Alabuga-Polytech,” and at the end of the clip, a link to the so-called “military department” is added.

Previously, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Youth and Sports had already drawn attention to the promotion of “Alabuga” through digital services.

At that time, the issue concerned a Counter-Strike 2 esports tournament, which was used as a platform to advertise the center where students are involved in the production of combat drones.

Following public outcry, Twitch blocked some of the accounts that were streaming or promoting this tournament.

At the same time, YouTube and Google continue to allow the widespread promotion of “Alabuga,” which is subject to EU and U.S. sanctions, without taking appropriate measures.

YouTubehas become the largest media company in the world.

More than 20% of the videos YouTube recommends to new users are clips created using AI.

The first YouTube video has become an exhibit at a London museum.
