Most voters for Fico's party do not support sanctions against Russia
Most supporters of Slovakia’s ruling party, Smer, back blocking new sanctions against Russia.

According to the poll, 64% of Robert Fico’s party voters support blocking anti-Russian sanctions.
This position is also supported by 60% of voters for the Voice party and 74% of supporters of the Slovak National Party.
Overall, one-third of the country’s population believes that the government should prevent the adoption of new sanctions.
At the same time, the majority of voters for the opposition liberal parties support tightening sanctions against Russia due to the war against Ukraine.
